My name is April Cox and I am the author of A Little Sister for Brady. I was inspired by my grandchildren to leave behind a legacy of beautiful children’s books.  It started as a seed… pondering the legacy I would leave them. How could I:

  •  Pass on my values?
  • Help them become resilient?
  • Empower them to make a difference in the world?

My answer… was to write. ✍

This Kickstarter campaign will help me to print my new book: A Little Sister for Brady – a story about accepting and embracing change.

Accepting change is not easy for children, especially when that change risks upsetting the balance at home and losing the attention of those we love.

Brady is a lovable soul, happily finding adventure in unexpected places.

When his family surprises him 🎈with a new little sister, he is not so sure that’s a good idea.

Mandy’s shenanigans don’t help matters. She eats all his food, drinks from his bowl steals his toys and treats, and even sleeps in his bed.

The last straw for Brady is when his little sister forces her way to his favorite resting spot on Nana’s lap – pushing him off with a thud!  What is a little Labradoodle to do?

As he dozes off to sleep with Mandy resting comfortably in HIS bed, he makes a wish – one that surprises even him.  He wishes… that he  DIDN’T HAVE A LITTLE SISTER!

When he wakes the next morning to find her GONE, he can’t help but wonder…

Did I wish my little sister away?

  • Is Brady’s new little sister gone forever?
  • Can he learn to embrace and accept the change that comes with a new sibling?
