Crowdsourcing Mornings: Fossil Canyon Game

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

Fossil Canyon is easy to learn and quick to play — about 30 minutes from opening the box to closing it. It provides plenty of choices for strategic gamers, but the rules are simple enough for young children to master with only a little help. Fossil Canyon is fun for adults looking for a light and fast-playing game, but it really shines as a family game, particularly for families that enjoy a little science with their gaming. Adults and game enthusiasts will enjoy the unique set-collection mechanics and the novel and tactile jigsaw-puzzle scoring method — no more adding victory points! Kids will love the dinosaur theme, the big and vibrant cards, and the simple rules. Parents will appreciate the surreptitious learning!

After setting up the dig site and “eroding” (discarding from the game) a few randomly-chosen and unknown fossils, each player “digs” an initial number of fossils depending on the number of players in the game.

As of June 21st, this project has raised $25,000 of their $5,000 goal. This project has 10 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $20, you will get one standard game.  For a pledge of $29, you will get one deluxe game.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/550671289/fossil-canyon?
