Crowdsourcing Mornings: Gomi Speaker – Powered By Waste

Advertisements

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

At Gomi, we’re always looking for new ways that we can create positive impact through design products that rethink waste and help clean up our beautiful planet. This is what led to creating the Gomi Speaker – An environmentally-friendly 25W Mono Portable Speaker made from 100 waste plastic bags, with 100% of the power coming from repurposed batteries saved from damaged e-bikes.

The Gomi Speaker is designed to be an everyday essential, that provides you with your favorite music at great quality,  without feeling guilty about harming the environment in the process.

Pairing two Gomi Speakers creates a wireless true stereo system with mind-blowing sound quality, and enough volume capacity to be loud enough to provide music for a small event. They pair seamlessly together, and you can use your phone, laptop or tablet to play your favorite playlists wirelessly through the system over a 10M range.

We are also offering a repairs-for-life return service to ensure the speakers never need to be thrown away unnecessarily. We believe tech should last a lifetime, without ever having to end up in landfill – there really is too much value in these materials to allow them to be wasted.

As of March 8th, this project has raised $35,000 of their $5,529 goal. This project has 23 days left to raise as much as it can.  For a pledge of $179, you will get one Gomi speaker.  For a pledge of $332, you will get two Gomi speakers.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gomi-eco-tech/gomi-speaker-powered-by-waste?
