Crowdsourcing Mornings: Hello, God! I See You!

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

Cece Leigh is our pen name for an exciting new books series, Hello, God! I Know You! Cece Leigh is a combination of our names, Cece as a nickname for Cecilia, and Leigh, Danielle’s middle name. We’re a Mother/Daughter team that used an idea from a friend’s text to write a children’s book. And that text turned into a passion project. We wanted to share our excitement for finding God in nature with Skye, Danielle’s daughter and Cecilia’s granddaughter. COVID19 gave us the perfect opportunity to generate some much needed positivity through daily nature walks — Cecilia in Minnesota and Danielle in Texas.

Skye’s excitement whenever she watched squirrels at play became the inspiration that kicked off our first book in the series, Hello, God! I See You! While living so far apart can be hard, we used the Marco Polo app to share ideas and work on our rhymes. God’s hand was already leading us, easing our tensions and providing a creative outlet to focus on when everything else in the world seemed to be turned on it’s head. While we walked, ideas would just come to us through the things we were seeing, hearing and feeling. By the end of the summer, we’d penciled out 3 books. Our mission is simple – to introduce God to kids through things they can see and experience in everyday life.

As of December 17th, this project has raised $6,000 of their $7,500 goal. This project has 1 day left to raise the $7,500 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $10, you will get one eBook.  For a pledge of $20, you will get one board book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hellogodiseeyou/hello-god-i-see-you?
