Crowdsourcing Mornings: KHARBONET | Carbon Fiber Basketball Net

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

There are some benefits to having a net on the hoop. Now nets help break a ball’s fall. The net helps control the direction of the ball when going through the rim, besides when the ball hits the rim first and bounces through, The net helps slow the ball down so it’s not always bouncing the headlight after a make and usually makes the ball land in the same general area after going through. Nets give players a sense of depth for good aim and allow refs to see what the basket was made of.

Without a net it’s sometimes hard to tell if someone has made a bucket or not. Beyond these functions, nets add to the audio, kinetic and aesthetic experience that leaves players driving for “nothin but net.” Think about how your net might move, look, sound and function. Unconventional approaches are encouraged.

As of November 27th, this project has raised $500 of their $11,924 goal. This project has 43 days left to raise the $11,924 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $34, you will get one black basketball net.  For a pledge of $60, you will get two black basketball nets.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kharbonet/kharbonet
