This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

Help us bring about a brighter, more colorful, connected world. CodeBug Connect allows people of all abilities to build their own connected gadgets. Fun or serious; from making an eye-catching animated badge, to light painting, to mapping air quality data across a city or sending an alert when there’s a squirrel on your feeder. CodeBug Connect has near limitless possibilities.

There’s nothing to install so you can get creating straight out the box. Drag and drop blocks or powerful Python text programming – along with easy to follow tutorials – make it quick and easy. Collect data or control things remotely across the Internet; CodeBug Connect looks after the security and routing so it’s never been easier to make something connected.

CodeBug Connect makes a fab light painting gadget, with a few blocks you can program it so it changes your movements into different colors, or make text appear in mid air.  And because you make it yourself, all the time there are opportunities for learning and development, covering not just STEM but STEAM

As of November 19th, this project has raised $9,500 of their $7,940 goal. This project has 21 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $36, you will get one CodeBug Connect.  For a pledge of $72, you will get two CondeBug Connects.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/codebug/codebug-connect-cute-colourful-and-programmable-iot-wearable?
