We’re transforming A Christmas Carol, that beloved holiday chestnut story you know and cherish, from a huge theatre production into an intimate, funny, interactive, karaoke-style show you perform yourself with the people you love… And live with. It’s a fun and easy way to create memories and have a great night in. A new holiday tradition!
How does it work?
Download the app, open up the play, and choose your role. Do you want to play Scrooge? Is it your life’s dream to be Tiny Tim? Or the Ghost of Christmas Past?
Then just pop in your earbuds, press play, and Rude Mechs will whisper in your ear so you become the star you know you are! Say what you hear, do what you’re told, and the epic story will unfold!
Imagine this: Charades meets Storytelling meets Eggnog.
Here’s exactly what we’re creating:
- A brand new play called A Karaoke Christmas Carol, and with it,
- A brand new app called Cyrano Plays to deliver it,
- And a new show for each “holiday” uploaded to the app over time!
And the second all of that is done, you can put on your beloved holiday show in the comfort of your own home. No need for fancy lights, sound gear, or even talent!

As of October 6th, this project has raised $7,000 of their $10,000 goal. This project has 24 days left to raise the $10,000 or it will not be funded.
