Crowdsourcing Mornings: Terraplanter – Visibly Follow The Journey From Seed To Plant

Advertisements

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

The terraplanter is an all-natural planter with a porous exterior that relies on a hydroponic system that doesn’t require any dirt or soil in order to grow seeds.

To use the terraplanter, consumers just need to spread the seeds they’d like to grow across the exterior of the planter. The seeds will fit into the grooves on the surface, and will remain in place. Instead of watering the soil within the planter as you would traditionally, the water is placed inside of the terraplanter.

After a few days, the seeds sitting on the exterior will soak up the water from within the planter and begin to sprout roots. With the terraplanter’s unique texture, the roots will hold onto the planter and grow around it. If consumers wish to reuse the planter for another purpose, they can simply cut away the roots and peel the plant off.

As of May 28th, this project has raised $3.5 million of their $20,000 goal. This project has 22 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $69, you will get one terraplanter.  For a pledge of $119, you will get two terraplanters.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/terraplanter/terra-planter-the-inside-out-hydroponic-planter-pot?
