Traveling to Europe is one of the easier places to visit when it comes to your travel bucket list. There’s plenty to see and do in this part of the world, and if you’ve never been, then it’s time to explore some of what it has to offer. Here are four places worth going to in Europe.
Berlin
Berlin is the capital of Germany and one with a lot of history attached to it. Reminders of the city’s volatile history echo in it’s surroundings from the Holocaust Memorial to the remains of the Berlin wall. But checkered history aside, like all places, a city like Berlin, should be appreciated for its beauty and stunning architecture. There’s a lot of green space if you like to explore a bit of nature whilst you’re there. Be wary when traveling, as all German environmental zones require you to display a sticker when driving, Berlin being one of them. Berlin is known for its beer culture, and you can certainly find plenty of spots to enjoy some of the city’s most popular beers.
London
If you’re a fan of the big cities, then London in the UK is the place to be. Like the city of New York, it’s a place that’s buzzing with activity, and in some parts, operates 24/7. See some of the beautiful histories that this city has to offer, whilst discovering some incredible tourist spots such as Buckingham Palace and taking a trip up The Shard. A walk along the River Thames will show you the impact that modern architecture has had on this city. However, you’ll find some old architecture that still stands tall hundreds of years on, and these are often littered amongst the newer builds. Make use of public transport and try to stay above ground to truly see all of the sights. As much as the tube might be quicker, there’s really not much to see when you’re traveling through tunnels under the ground.
Rome
Rome is a magical place that really is covered in rich history everywhere you look. With over fifty monuments to explore, this is a place you’ll need a few days in, to get the full experience. Some of the squares or piazza’s, as they call them, are breath-taking and a wonderful place to sit down with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. The Vatican is one place worth seeing and knowing that it is its own country is mind-boggling considering its location in Rome itself.
Paris
And finally, the city of love. If you’re after a romantic getaway, then Paris is certainly one place worth spoiling your partner in. Take a trip up the Eiffel Tower and discover the many wine bars and wonderful food places that are tucked away throughout the city itself. It’s definitely a city that is full of entertainment options and a chance to relax and unwind.
