In March 2020 I will head down to the legendary FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to record an entire album with Bo Ramsey and a collection of local Muscle Shoals players. This will include a couple of the original “Swampers” (David Hood and Spooner Oldham). WHAT?!
I am also very honored to work with Curry Weber (of Ardent and Sun Studio in Memphis, TN) as mixing engineer. It is a dream team, a once in a lifetime crew! I cannot wait to hear the music we will create in the same room that helped produce such classics as Wilson Pickett’s “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “Mustang Sally,” Aretha’s “I Never Loved a Man The Way I Love You,” and Etta James'”Tell Mama” and “I’d Rather Go Blind,” among many, many others!
