Christmas Season Stuff

See Video From The 2019 Tinsel Trail In Huntsville, Alabama

I never had a chance to make it up to Huntsville this year, but I wanted to still feature the 2019 Tinsel Trail up in the Huntsville area.

The Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees in Downtown Huntsville’s Big Spring Park.  An anticipated 300 trees will decorate the park for the holiday season. Intended to promote community, each tree is sponsored by a local corporation, group, or family, and can be decorated by its sponsor or another organization designated by the sponsor.

The Tinsel Trail was originally founded as a project of The Downtown Forty-Seven, an organization whose mission was to encourage, support, and promote the ongoing cultural, aesthetic, social and economic vitality of the downtown area of Huntsville, Alabama.  Tinsel Trail is now a project of Downtown Huntsville, Inc., an organization responsible for the revitalization of Downtown Huntsville through unique events, interesting promotions, and dynamic new and redeveloped properties.

Each tree is sponsored by a local corporation, group or family, and decorated by its sponsor. Trees can have themes that match the company’s mission, or sometimes they’re just totally unique! Each tree has a sign with the sponsor and decorator’s names.  And some trees had ways for people to win prizes just by snapping a photo and using a unique hashtag!

This was the ninth year of this event.  Below is a video featuring the 2019 Tinsel Trail, enjoy below!  Learn more at:  http://tinseltrail.com/
