There is a lesson to learn here. If you think a movie is going to be terrible, don’t release it to over 2,800 theaters across North America. Last weekend, the animated movie Arctic Dogs came out, and it only earned an estimated $3.1 million from 2,844 theaters. This makes it the worst performing opening film in the history of cinema. And this movie had a $50 million dollar budget, ouch.
When you look at the trailer for Arctic Dogs below, you can probably see why this movie performed so poorly. Maybe make a better animated film, or just release it straight to DVD and streaming.
