Crowdsourcing Mornings: Tilt Five: Holographic Tabletop Gaming

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

When you slip on the Tilt Five glasses and look at the game board, a vibrant 3D world opens up to you. Suddenly chasms seem to drop infinitely into your table, and game characters and monsters spring up from the game board. This is gaming unlike anything you’ve experienced before.  We decided to take a different approach at Tilt Five. We focused on building an AR system that creates amazing tabletop gaming experiences, with glasses so lightweight and comfortable you can play all day.

Our lenses are large and wide open, so the glasses don’t block your vision. You can see your friends, pizza, and drinks, while you play true head to head games around the table. The patented 110° field of view optical system fills the entire game board, and everything is in focus whether you’re leaning back in your chair or pressing your chin to the board to get a better look at the details on that dragon. To top it all off, the system had to be affordable.

With the Tilt Five LE or XE System, you get everything you need to start playing amazing games, and set-up is a breeze. The system comes with the glasses, a wand controller, the game board, USB cable, a variety pack of nose pieces, and introductory games. If you wear prescription glasses, no problem, the Tilt Five glasses will work over most prescription glasses. Just pick the nose piece that works the best.

With the XE Game Board you get even more space to play as well as multiple configurations. Prop one end up with the kickstand and you suddenly get infinite depth and additional height. Configure it as a square board, or add the additional section and convert it into a 42 inch long board, perfect for spreading out your campaign maps for those epic game nights. It will also come with a water and fingerprint resistant coating, so clean-up is a breeze.

As of October 8th, this project has raised $1.1 million of their $450,000 goal. This project has 20 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $299, you will get one Tilt Five LE kit.  For a pledge of $359, you will get one Tilt Five XE kit.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tiltfive/holographic-tabletop-gaming?
