SIGHT:Extended is a stunning, Augmented Reality themed Sci-Fi thriller. It takes place in a future around the corner, where smart contact lenses have replaced our smartphones. In this future, Augmented Reality has taken over our lives. Holograms and interfaces are warped over the real world. SIGHT:Extended is the larger adaptation of the short film ‘Sight’ by Eran May-Raz and Daniel Lazo.
In 2012, we (two broke graphic design students) created Sight as our graduation project from Bezalel academy of arts in Israel. Sight explored thought provoking themes such as gamification, free will and morality in a world where augmented reality is the new norm.
When we uploaded it online, we weren’t really ready for what that followed – The film quickly went viral. A couple million views later, it was featured in major publications and starred in many festivals. Our inbox started getting flooded with emails with questions about Sight and our future plans for it – people wanted to see more. That’s when the dream to turn Sight into a longer film was born.

SIGHT:Extended will not be a direct sequel to the original short film. Rather, it will be a new and bigger story, based on the world and the themes presented in Sight.
The story revolves around Patrick, who suffers from Agoraphobia and social anxiety. He has never been able to walk more than 1 mile away from his home.
Tired of being a social outcast, he starts using a new AI powered operating system, that promises to circumvent his anxieties and to guide him towards his life goals. It does so by gamifying everything, turning his daily actions and decisions into a fun engaging game.
But while the AI helps him become more socially active and pushes him to be more adventurous in his decision making, it also creates a massive dependency, to the point where Patrick is completely hopelessly addicted to it.
As of August 8th, this project has raised $80,000 of their $70,000 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $10, you will get project updates.
