It’s hard to find motorized window shades. You can retrofit your tilting blinds, but if you want a new set of shades, they cost $500+ and most cannot be controlled from an app and are not smart home compatible. AutoShades are based on a simple roller design and the cost savings are passed onto our customers. For a little bit more than the cost of a regular set of roller shades, you can have digital control of your window coverings. A simple motor driven roller design allows for reliable and repeatable results.
We chose Kickstarter as a way to launch this product because of the incredible feedback we can get from our backers through the rest of the development process. If we had just gone ahead and produced a finished product with little or no feedback from our users, we would be much more likely to miss out on a key feature or design element you all want!
As of July 31st, this project has raised $48,000 of their $20,000 goal. This project has 8 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $129 , you will get one AutoShade.
