Yes, I will admit that the character design for Sonic The Hedgehog is very weird. Why does he have human teeth? Yes, his eyes should be bigger like it was in past designs of the character. And this version of Sonic looks like a human child, he really should be smaller. Many people really hated this new trailer, and the makers of the movie had to respond.
Yes, the people who are making this movie have read the reactions, and they have said they will re-design Sonic for this movie. They have around six months to do this, and you know the animators will have their work cut out for them. As for the human characters, Jim Carrey playing Dr. Robotnik I hope will be a great move, we shall see.
Anyways, I hope Paramount will correct the Sonic character design before the movie comes out in November, because if Detective Pikachu can get it correct, this movie can get it correct too. Watch the trailer below.
