This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines/
Have you ever been sitting in class with your friends on a beautiful sunny day and you just can’t take it any more so you all fake needing to go the bathroom, take hall passes, and instead of going to the bathroom you all walk straight out the school exit, jump in your car and drive away to go party? No? Well me neither but I always dreamed of doing that. The dream of that kind of freedom is what inspired HALL PASS.
HALL PASS is a fast and easy to learn board game (for 2-4 players, all ages 10+) that packs a lot of fun and strategy into its simple rules. Your goal is to be the first to escape from school! Here’s the game board and the initial set up for a 4 player game. Each person picks a side/color and starts with all of their pieces in their own home “classrooms”. Everything in the middle is the “hallway”. And here’s how to play. You can escape to the getaway car through any open classroom other than your own. It’s up to you to figure out if you want to play offensively and try to escape ASAP or if you want to be more defensive and just keep knocking out your friends.
On your turn, you have two options. You can move any of your pieces in a straight line in any direction or you can move one piece out of detention, back into any of your open home classrooms. Every piece has a number on the bottom of it which is its “hall pass”. This is the number of spaces you can move “legally”. You can go more or fewer as long as you don’t get caught! So make sure you always keep the hall pass a secret. At the end of the day, a board game’s job is to get us to disconnect from our phones and our problems at work, our personal troubles, and instead spend some time and share some laughs with family and friends. I think Hall Pass will do that for you. Thanks for reading!
As of April 22nd, this project has raised $4,000 of their $2,500 goal. This project has 14 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $25, you will get one board game. For a pledge of $45, you will get two game copies. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/238644510/hall-pass-the-board-game?
