I can’t believe we are now into the ninth season of the popular show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.  This is the final season of this show, and the season premiere was a doozy.  The Royal Sisters announced their retirement, and are making Twilight the new leader of Equestria.  She is of course not ready, and was doing some “Twilighting”, what a great term for her freakouts!

Of course there has to be some villains, and a old-school villain named Grogar gathers up the other villains, and sends King Sombra to take over.  As you know, Twilight and her friends defeat King Sombra, twice.  And even though the Elements of Harmony were destroyed, the Mane 6 has the magic in them to defeat evil.

So this is how season nine will go it seems.  Some development episodes, some regular episodes, a 200th episode celebration, Grogar sanding other villains to defeat the Mane 6, and I assume we will see Twilight Sparkle take her place as the new ruler of Equestria with the help of her friends.  The makers of MLP have said the final season will go out in a bang, and I hope they are right.
