This is a problem in Alabama and many other states across America.  Poor people who commit a crime, even a misdemeanor, and they sit in jail for months until trial because they can’t afford bail.  The USA has the highest people in jail rate in the world, and while some states are trying to fix the bail system, lobbyist including bail bondsman are trying to stop any bail reform.  The Philip DeFranco YouTube channel takes a look at the shocking truth of America’s bail system.  This is very interesting.
