One year ago today, an EF3 tornado went through Jacksonville and Jacksonville State University. A lot of damage happened but thankfully no one was killed. As you should know by now, you must have multiple ways to receive a weather warning. Having a good app on your phone is one, having a weather radio is another.
If you need help to program your weather radio so it will only go off if a warning is issued in the county you live in, today you can get that help! ABC 33/40’s James Spann will be on the campus of Jacksonville State University today from 4-6 pm. The location will be at the JSU Stadium Tower on the 5th floor. James Spann will also be doing live weather on the 4 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm newscasts. Take advantage of this!
