Crowdsourcing Mornings: A Different Kind Of Animal: A Short Film

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

“A Different Kind of Animal” is a short film about a New York City dog walker who takes action when she realizes one of her clients—a dog—could be in trouble.  This Blue Slate Films production will star Ana Marie Calise and Robert Capron.  The story follows Maria on her daily routine, which is disrupted by the unexpected arrival of her childhood friend, Owen. As Maria introduces him to the bitch that is New York City, Maria begins to examine her own life and career through a different lens.

“A Different Kind of Animal” is being produced by Blue Slate Films. A sizable amount of professional-grade equipment is necessary achieve to production value we need. The additional funds production is seeking will be delegated primarily to transportation, props, crew payment, cast payment, crew meals, and lodging. We truly do consider every contributor a part of our team. If you donate to this project, we promise to keep you involved every step of the way.

As of February 4th, this project has raised $4,500 of their $12,000 goal. This project has 28 days left to raise the $12,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $15, you will get a Facebook shout out.  For a pledge of $100, you will get a private link to the film.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/anamadiecalise/a-different-kind-of-animal-a-short-film?
