This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
As creators, we all love to create things with 3D printing and laser engraving. But it cost a lot of money to own a 3D printer and a laser engraver. Two years ago, we started thinking combine two machines together and make it interchangeable and affordable. Finally, we got the perfect solution – the Hexbot.
The first versatile desktop robotic arm with extreme 0.05mm high repeatability that turns your desktop into a workshop. Designed for makers, designers and anyone who wants to bring their ideas to life. Hexbot helps you to draw, write, laser engrave and 3D print in the easiest way possible.
Build for makers and designers to bring their ideas to life, Hexbot’s functional modular design is aimed to complete any task from simply grasping, drawing to 3D printing and laser engraving. Their team spent countless nights designing, prototyping, testing, programming, and pitching our ideas to hundreds of people and receive feedback on Hexbot. After the test in the past five months, our product has been verified, and it’s ready for manufacturing.
As of January 31st, this project has raised $410,000 of their $50,000 goal. This project has 36 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $5, you will get project updates. For a pledge of $299, you will get one basic Hexbot kit. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hexbot/hexbot-versatile-all-in-1-desktop-robot-arm-for-ev?
