Yep, America does not use the metric system.  Although there have been attempts to switch to the metric system, every time it happens, it never goes too far.  Back in the 1990’s, Alabama tried to switch to the metric system.  I remember seeing those kilometer posts along the highways.  The Alabama Legislature put a stop to that.

In the video below from Cheddar, you get to learn why the United States has not switched to the metric system.  There have been attempts, but the public does not like metric.  Honestly, if most of the rest of the world uses metric, we should too.
