Tonight, I watched a 60 Minutes report about how our uses of plastic is damaging our Earth.  The report detailed how one person is trying to clean up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.  The report also went to Midway Atoll to see how plastics are washing up ashore and damaging the local birds there.

This report was very distributing.  I already try to use less plastic in my life, and you really should too!  If you want to learn more about plastics, this video from National Geographic is a good start.
