Here in the Anniston/Oxford area. If you are wanting a good meal from a local restaurant, and don’t want to leave your home, you had no choice but to go to the restaurant. This area is too small for services like DoorDash. But, there is a local service available to have restaurant food delivered to your house!
If you live in Anniston, Oxford, or Jacksonville, this service is called My Mobile Waiter.
You simply go to the My Mobile Waiter website, and choose which food you want from a huge list of local restaurants. Everything from the fast-food joints to the sit down fancy restaurants are available to order!
There is a $10 minimum order plus a small delivery fee. And once you ordered and pay, a few things will happen. First, you will receive a phone call confirming your order. Second, you will get text messages and e-mails telling you when the driver is at the restaurant, and when the driver is on the way to your house and has arrived at your house. You have the option to tip when you pay online.
I tried out the service for the first time and got two Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. I ordered on a Saturday night, and it took close to two hours from the order to when the food arrived. This is because Saturday is a big college football day. The driver told me it usually takes sooner. My advice is to order about two hours ahead of your meal time.
My only concern was a $50 mobile deposit hold was placed on my bank account.
