This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
We are Cees and Madison – and of course there is the real star of the show, our kitty VLADIMIR KITTEN! In 2016 our kitten took us on an incredible adventure to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the National Park Service. On that trip we made it to all 59 National Parks! It was quite the loop! Our National Parks really are the most beautiful places in the world. They house our nations greatest natural treasures and protect what we hold most dear. They provide opportunity for people to connect with their earth, with wildlife, and of course with themselves.
We want children to be able to grasp the importance, the beauty, and the uniqueness of our national parks – because after all, it will be them who will protect our public lands in the future. If we want these lands to be around forever, we need to instill a love for them at a young age. And what better way than through a story!? We worked hard to write the story in a fun, easy to follow way. And we teamed up with our friend and super talented illustrator, Noh A, to make the pictures come to life. We are SO happy with how the first part of the book has come out – she has taken the time to really capture the details of our trip, and put them down on the pages of this children’s book. We already have half of the illustrations done! Once the project is funded we will be able to crank out the rest of them and send it off to the printer!
As of November 2nd, this project has raised $4,000 of their $4,500 goal. This project has 22 days left to raise the $4,500 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $10, you will get one e-book. For a pledge of $25, you will get one hardcover book. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1422529266/a-kittens-quest-a-national-park-adventure?ref=discovery
