Crowdsourcing Mornings: Piks, A Creative Toy To Develop Concentration And Imagination

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Piks is a creative toy designed to develop children’s attention and concentration.  No doubt you’ve noticed today’s children are less and less focused. Surrounded by smartphones, apps and video games, there’s been quite a rise in behavioral issues.  This is not just an idea. Just as the following references show, many studies, theories and modalities have been created to help children in this phenomenon. Practices such as meditation, concentration or therapy through play are being proposed to help our children to calm down, and to improve their emotions.

These techniques are really inspiring and we feel they should be available to all children. And this is why we decided to create Piks.  The aim of the Piks game is simple – to create the most original and impressive structure by positioning it.  By playing with Piks, children explores the intricacies of balance while decision-making, motor skills and imagination all come to play transforming the players into a performance of concentration and skill.   Because we take seriously, this is not just a toy! Carefully designed, Piks offers many great educational skills and benefits for kids.

As of October 8th, this project has raised $28,000 of their $23,025 goal. This project has 6 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $39, you will get one Piks small kit.  For a pledge of $68, you will get one Piks medium kit.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oppi/piks-0?
