Convention Tuesdays: Anime Weekend Atlanta, Cleveland Geekster, Creative Con 2018

Welcome to Convention Tuesdays! Every Tuesday, I will feature and highlight conventions happening during the upcoming weekend in Alabama, or within short driving distances from Alabama.

September 20-23 — Anime Weekend Atlanta — Atlanta, Georgia

AWA has a wide variety of events including video room showings of Japanese cartoons from new releases and titles going back to the 1960’s, a dealer’s room with retailers who sell Japanese animation and manga related merchandise such as toys, videos, audio CDs and artwork, workshops, panel discussions on various topics including the current trends in Japan and how they will affect the United States, a costume contest where attendees dress up as their favorite anime or manga character, and scores of guests who have worked or currently are working in the industry.

September 22 — Cleveland Geekster — Cleveland, Tennessee

Cleveland Geekster is Cleveland, Tennessee’s only toy and comic show! We are excited to bring the show back for its 5th year. We pride ourselves on being family friendly.  Learn more at: http://clevelandgeekster.com/

September 22-23 — Creative Con — Panama City, Florida

Creative Con is entering its 9th year as a community event, with each year seeing significant growth. Not only does Panama City Creative Con foster career development for aspiring artists and creatives, it is purposed to encourage young people to pursue their passions and develop the valuable tools they already have in their love for the creative realms.
