This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
Play Holographic AR Games With Your Mobile Device! The Spatial MRX is a mobile accessory that converts your phone or tablet into a holographic, augmented gaming machine with a built-in camera that integrates physical piece play. The MRX comes with an exclusive suite of AR (Augmented Reality) games made by 10 different studios. Multiplayer games use physical pieces to project interactive holograms without using AR/VR headsets. Traditional tabletop gaming meets digital, holographic action with a joypad in one hand and play pieces in the other.
Spatial’s holographic AR merges the best of classic, tabletop piece play with a projected, digital experience you share face-to-face with friends and family. Spatial, multiplayer games are designed around fun mechanics that leverage both piece play and a joypad. All the games are exclusive to the platform and allow you to play hands-on in this unique form of augmented reality.
As of August 29th, this project has raised $48,000 of their $25,000 goal. This project has 14 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $60, you will get one Spatial MRX. For a pledge of $110, you will get two Spatial MRX devices.
