This week, I wanted to share this video from the people at TED. “Ideas can and do change the world,” says historian Rutger Bregman, sharing his case for a provocative one: guaranteed basic income. Learn more about the idea’s 500-year history and a forgotten modern experiment where it actually worked — and imagine how much energy and talent we would unleash if we got rid of poverty once and for all.
If the United States did a basic income program, you would not need programs like food stamps, TNAF, WIC, disability and others. It’s just weird that the richest country in the world can not do more to help those in poverty. That really needs to change, please watch the video below!
