Crowdsourcing Mornings: Greylegs – A Children’s Book By Dina Norlund

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Dina is an illustrator and author from Norway. For the last two years I have been living and working as a concept artist in a studio in the North East of England. Recently I decided to go fulltime freelance in order to have more time to pursue my own projects. Given my background in character design and my love for movies, books and comics it seemed only natural to put in the time and effort to create my first children’s book! Picture books are such a perfect medium to tell stories. They are aimed at not only children but also anyone who enjoys a good story and art.

Greylegs is an illustrated kids book created for both young and old. I never like to specify a certain age group, simply because I believe it can be enjoyed at any age! It is full of color, detailed illustrations, an engaging story with interesting characters. It is a project that have been in the works for over a year and with a message that lies very close to my heart.  The book will be 8 x 10 inches big, feature 30 fully colored illustrated pages and 1300 words. The illustrations are all lined traditionally and colored digitally. All 30 ( 15 spreads) pages are fully illustrated and ready to print! She hopes you will want to support her first picture book and her second Kickstarter!

As of August 13th, this project has raised $15,000 of their $637 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $3, you will get project updates.  For a pledge of $13, you will get one book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
