Time for the Alabama Weekend Roundup. This weekly post highlights different and unique events across Alabama or near Alabama that you should consider attending. So for this weekend, here are five events you should consider going too!
July 27-28 – Cotton Pickin’ BBQ Cook-Off – Hartselle , AL
This Alabama State Championship Barbecue Cook-off has professional and backyard teams from across the U.S. competing for prizes and recognition. The event is sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Association and is a member of the Alabama Barbecue Association. Shop vendors’ booths, boutiques, and antiques and specialty shops throughout Hartselle. A great event for friends and family!
July 28 – Auburn Wing Fest – The Greystone Mansion – Auburn, AL
We’re looking forward to hosting the inaugural Auburn Wing Fest event at Greystone Mansion on Saturday, July 28th What is it? The Auburn Wing Fest is just that, a wing festival featuring the area’s restaurants with the best wings, along with live entertainment, bar service, games, giveaways and other vendors.

July 27-28 – Alabama Championship Tractor & Truck Pull – Athens, AL
Enjoy one of the best tractor and truck pulls in the south at Tanner High School. For 40 years, the Tanner Tractor and Truck Pull has grown until it is one of the largest events in the South. Each night will include seven classes sanctioned by the NTPA/Mid-South Pullers Association. Concessions for food and T-shirts will be available. Proceeds from the event, sponsored by the Tanner Quarterback Club, benefit Tanner High School athletics and Tanner youth sports.
