For 20 years, Chick-Fil-A has put out a calendar consisting of cows. Yes, the Cow Calendar features a yearly theme of cows doing some interesting things. Now, Chick-Fil-A is going to end making the Cow Calendars. And people on social media are kind of upset.
Chick Fil A: I have an idea
Me: What
Chick Fil A: let’s take away the brownies
Me:

Another day, another @ChickfilA mistake. Now they’re discontinuing the Cow Calendar. Seriously, are they trying to stop doing everything Truett Cathey did? Before long the sandwich will be gone and they’ll be open Sunday. #shame

Not to be dramatic but @ChickfilA getting rid of the Cow Calendar is the worst thing to ever happen to me pic.twitter.com/t9FOG51Ziz

Chick-Fil-A is getting rid of the Cow Calendar for 2019 and beyond. I used to buy them for friends and family. pic.twitter.com/VW1HaWaHUi

Chick-Fil-A released a statement on why they are discontinuing the Cow Calendars.
“Yes, we have made the difficult decision to retire our annual Cow Calendars at the end of 2018. We will continue our commitment to take care of customers and offer new ways for you to interact with Chick-fil-A, including Chick-fil-A One which will have some exciting updates coming this August. For guests who purchased the calendar as a holiday gift, we will offer new Chick-fil-A gift cards to purchase in restaurants this holiday season.”
Chick-Fil-A also says they are updating the Chick-fil-A One smartphone app in anticipation of the calendar’s retirement. With the app, customers can earn freebies and place orders. So I guess they want people using their smartphone app instead of picking up a Cow Calendar. Oh well, at least we got 20 years of cow excitement! I wonder if the ending of Cow Appreciation Day is next? RIP the calendar.
