Time for a Alabama sausage taste battle! Down in south Alabama, the two most well-known sausage places are Conecuh Sausage and Monroe Sausage. On this Aspie Reviews, I picked up a package of Conecuh Cajun sausage and Monroe Hot Sausage.
Here is what the sausages looked like out of the package. Conecuh is on top and Monroe is on the bottom.
And here is what the sausages looked like after pan frying in a skillet. Conecuh is on top and Monroe is on the bottom.
Let’s start with the Conecuh Sausage.
The sausage casing was very easy to cut into. And the sausage taste was great. Every bite of the Conecuh Sausage was very juicy. And it had a good blend of spices.
The Monroe Sausage was a little different.
The sausage casing was very hard to cut into. The spices were good, but I had a few bites where the sausage was not that juicy.
So overall, my winner was the Conecuh Sausage, Alabama’s favorite! But the Monroe Sausage was good as well. You can’t go wrong with either!
