June 8-10 – Alabama State Games – Von Braun Center – Huntsville, AL

The Alabama State Games were established in 1982 at the request of the United States Olympic Committee to develop Olympics Style Games for the citizens of Alabama. The games showcases the traditions and ceremonies of the International Olympic Games.

June 8-9 – Alexander City Jazz Fest – Strand Park & Lake Martin Amphitheatre – Alexander City, AL

28th Annual Jazz Fest. Funded by local sponsors, the two-day event is free to the public. Friday night’s event is held at Strand City Park in Alexander City on Tallapoosa Street and Saturday night’s event is held at The AMP (the Lake Martin Amphitheater) on AL 63 at Kowaliga.

June 8 – SummerNight Downtown Art Walk – Auburn, AL

SummerNight Downtown Art Walk is an arts festival that transforms downtown Auburn into an arts district, featuring the work of local and regional artists, live musicians, street performers, food and drink vendors, and children’s activities.

June 9 – Miss Alabama Pageant – Samford University – Homewood, AL

A celebrated tradition since 1921, the Miss Alabama Pageant will determine Alabama’s representative for the Miss America Pageant. The Pageant preliminary events take place June 6-8, 2018. The Pageant itself is on Saturday, June 9th.

June 9 – Magic City Caribbean Food and Music Festival – Linn Park – Birmingham, AL

Caribbean Day in Linn Park is a joyous, family friendly celebration of Caribbean American Heritage Month. Visitors can enjoy Caribbean music, face painting, dancing, food and an authentic Caribbean parade. Come eat your fill of jerk chicken, dance in the street and have a fabulous day. And best of all it’s family friendly so bring the family.

June 9 – Madison Baseball Stadium Community Groundbreaking – Site Off Zeirdt Road – Madison, AL

Join us in celebrating this exciting groundbreaking event of the new Madison Baseball Stadium! Guests can look forward to announcements such as a “Name the Team” contest, as well as free food and activities. All attendees will leave with a commemorative baseball to remember the inception of the ballpark and multi-use venue.
