Roadscapes Wednesday: Freeways Almost Ruined San Francisco

Let’s go back to the 1950’s, where the Interstate Highway System was beginning to be built.  And cities all around America had plans for their own networks of freeways.  San Francisco had plans for a major network of freeways, but only a few got built.  If you think about it, freeways through city centers ruin a city and makes it look ugly.  The YouTube channel City Beautiful talks about the history of planned freeways in San Francisco that never got built, thanks to grassroots efforts, enjoy below!
