May 18-20 – Hangout Music Festival – Gulf Shores, AL

May 18-19 – Do Dah Day – Caldwell Park & Rhodes Park – Birmingham, AL

Do Dah Day is a annual event held along Birmingham’s Highland Avenue with all monies raised donated to charities that benefit animals in the Birmingham & Jefferson County area.

May 20 – Cheaha Challenge Gran Fondo Century & ULTRA Ride – Jacksonville, AL

The Northeast Alabama Bicycle Assoc. is proud to offer a wonderful event highlighting the beauty of our area. The Cheaha Challenge Century & ULTRA rides are the premier events for the bike club, and to make sure we have something for everyone, we offer a family ride, too, The Challenge/ULTRA, known as the “toughest ride in the South,” offer distance options of 24, 44, 62, 84, 100 and 124. The ULTRA is for experienced riders only, encompassing 12,835 feet of climbing. The Chief Ladiga Cruise is a kinder, gentler ride, which is on the paved rails-to-trail, the Chief Ladiga Trail.

May 14-20 – Regions Tradition – Greystone Golf & Country Club – Birmingham, AL

This event is back and BIGGER than ever, so come on out to watch history in the making! May 18-19 – Logan Martin Lake Fest and Boat Show – Lakeside Park – Pell City, AL

Alabama’s largest in-water boat show and festival is back for 2018, and this year promises to be the definitive event to kick off summer for lake lovers in Alabama. Attendees can test drive boats, There will also be live music, food vendors, lake lifestyle vendors, and a fireworks show Friday night at 8 PM. This event is free to all who attend. May 19-20 – Mentone Rhododendron Festival – Brow Park – Mentone, AL

Savor Mentone’s spring beauty and enjoy arts and crafts, food, live music and more! Mentone’s Rhododendron Festival is held on the 3rd weekend of each May when the spectacular clusters of showy rhododendron blooms can be seen all over town. On Saturday (9-5) and Sunday (9-4), Brow Park and the site of the old Mentone Springs Hotel will be filled with over 80 artists and craftsmen offering their handmade creations. Admission is free.

May 18-20 – U.S. Canine Biathlon – McClellan – Anniston, AL

May 18-19 – AAA Concert Series – Birmingham-Southern College – Birmingham, AL

Cory “C Pez” Pesaturo is a graduate of the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Cory is the ONLY PERSON ever to win Championships on Acoustic Accordion, Digital Accordion, and Jazz Accordion. Cory is a visionary because he sees how the accordion should be used, played, and presented in the modern music world. Cory has performed in 5 different continents from Italy to Canada, from New Zealand to Japan, regularly logging 100,000 miles a year performing. Cory has taught masterclasses at Harvard, Brown, UNC, Berklee College of Music, MIT, and of course the New England Conservatory.
