Crowdsourcing Mornings: Pit Bull Flower Power: The Book

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

After nearly four years of crowning pit bulls in animal shelters around the U.S., they are beyond excited to bring the Pit Bull Flower Power book to life! This large coffee table book (9×12 inches, 250 pages) has your favorite Pit Bull Flower Power portraits, outtakes, as well as inspiring stories of these dogs on their way to new homes, and touching adoption updates.  They need your support to make this happen! The book can only be produced and printed if they reach the minimum target goal.  The more money they raise, the more books they can print (and hopefully the more exhibits/book signing events they can arrange), furthering the reach of Pit Bull Flower Power.  The book will be released in October 2018, just in time for Pit Bull Awareness Month and Adopt A Shelter Dog Month!
Pit bulls have been demonized by society for decades.  As a result, they are more prone to being abused, abandoned, and euthanized.  Hundreds of thousands of them languish in shelters, with their stories untold.  To combat the stigma surrounding these dogs, she decided to adorn them with handmade flower crowns, and share their stories with the world.  She wondered if art could change their fate.  They always dreamed of a book.  She wanted these portraits to be printed in all their glory, and the stories to be preserved forever.  She owes this book to all the dogs who are judged unfairly for the way they look, and to the people who care for them.

As of May 15th, this project has raised $144,000 million of their $55,000 goal.  This project has 5 days left to raise as much as it can.  For a pledge of $50, you will get 10 Flower Power postcards.  For a pledge of $75, you will get one hardcopy of the book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
