Good News Fridays: Aubreigh’s Army And The Lemon Face Challenge

This week on Good News Fridays, I am talking about how a young girl in Alabama is starting the newest internet viral trend.  Aubreigh Nicholas is a 11-year-old living in Semmes, AL.  Recently, she was diagnosed with DIPG, or diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas, which is a type of brain cancer that attacks the brain stem.  Currently, the family is raising money on YouCaring to fight this disease.  But, other than raising money, the family is also challenging others to take a lemon, cut it up into slices, take one slice and suck on it with your mouth, make a lemon face, and post a video of you doing that to the hashtag #LemonFaceChallenge.

And since the challenge first started, numerous people have done it!  Auburn coach Gene Chizik did it.

Alabama coach Nick Saban did it.

Local leaders in Mobile County, AL did it.

And there are many more videos across social media of people doing the #LemonFaceChallenge.  Even bigger websites like BuzzFeed is getting others to do the challenge.  That even includes getting Ellen DeGeneres to do the challenge!

This new internet viral trend keeps growing by the day with many more people participating in the challenge.  And today, it’s my turn to do the   #LemonFaceChallenge!

Now, it’s your turn!  Make your best lemon face!
