Time for the Alabama Weekend Roundup.  This weekly post highlights up to eight different and unique events across Alabama or near Alabama that you should consider attending.  So for this weekend, here are eight events you should consider going too!

April 27-29 – GEICO 500 Weekend – Talladega Superspeedway – Lincoln, AL

An action-packed racing weekend filled with races including the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series GEICO 500, NASCAR XFINITY Series Sparks Energy 300 and the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards General Tire 200.

April 27-29 – Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party – Flora-Bama – Orange Beach, AL

What started as just a reason to party has become one of the biggest events on the Gulf Coast. Those who participate in the Mullet Toss will throw a dead mullet over the state line of Florida and Alabama to see who gets the farthest. Not to mention a great excuse to throw a weekend long party, with a lot of fun activities, great music and food!

April 27-29 – Panoply Arts Festival – Big Spring Park – Huntsville, AL

April 28- Bob Sykes Bbq & Blues Festival – DeBardeleben Park – Bessemer, AL

Barbecue and Blues are a great combination so start planning for the 9th Annual Bob Sykes Bbq & Blues Festival presented by the City of Bessemer set for Saturday, April 28, 2018. The event will combine the best of blues music and legendary Bob Sykes Bbq at the beautiful DeBardeleben Park located in historic downtown Bessemer, Alabama from 12-8pm. Gates open at 11am. You can expect to hear talented award winning local and national blues musicians.

April 28 – Auburn Cityfest – Auburn, AL

April 27-29 – Magic City Art Connection – Linn Park – Birmingham, AL

April 28-29 – TroyFest – Troy, AL

TroyFest, held in honor of Jean Lake, is the premier fine art & craft festival for the central Alabama region. April 28-29 – National Cornbread Festival – South Pittsburg, TN
