Crowdsourcing Mornings: Annabelle & Aiden: What Happens When We Die?

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Annabelle & Aiden is a pro-science children’s book series (and, dare we say, community & movement?) dedicated to inspiring a new generation of scientists, thinkers, and all-around adventurers. Their books are tailored to foster curiosity, wonder, critical thinking skills, and inspiration on the line where science and philosophy meet.  Annabelle is curious. Which makes Aiden furious. But together, with the help of their animal (and alien-monster) friends, they discover the wonders of the universe as they try to answer questions often thought to be ‘too big’ for children.

In this inspiring, life-affirming tale, Annabelle asks, “What happens when we die?” Aiden dreams of an afterlife with marshmallow shoes and chocolate kangaroos. But with the help of their dear friends (Tardigrade Tom and Skeptisaurus), the children discover what we do know, and how worth celebrating it is. How our atoms rejoin the universe, which remains forever changed by our lives. How our energy lasts forever, along with the stories of our loved ones we keep alive by honoring their memories. And most of all, how mortality can inspire us to appreciate the incredible opportunity we’ve been given: to live the best, most meaningful lives we can, surrounded by the people we love.

As of April 20th, this project has raised $7,000 of their $5,000 goal. This project has 31 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $5, you will get one eBook.  For a pledge of $14, you will get one hardcover copy of the book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1269876999/annabelle-and-aiden-what-happens-when-we-die?
