Crowdsourcing Mornings: Discover Wonders: STEM Talking Books For Future Innovators

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Innovators think across dimensions but schools often teach by subjects. While we think it is great to learn topics by subjects, we believe children need to learn to think across subjects.  Every child who has tested Discover Wonders loves them because their phenomenal content inspires curiosity, their recording features bonds families, and their rich audio effects empower independent learners.  Discover Wonders Talking Books uses everyday items as the starting point to examine different aspects of our world – science, technology, literature, arts, history, world awareness, life application, engineering, mathematics, and many more.  Each unit is presented in scenes relevant to children.

A unique feature of the Discover Wonders Talking Book is that, with the help of the Discover Talking Pen, you can record your voice on each page, saving the precious moments of your bonding time with your child.  Grandparents and remote relatives can also send you audio files to be transferred to recording stickers. Now your child can open a photo book and hear the greetings from their favorite auntie, uncle, or grannie.  Each book has over 300 audio hotspots. We believe children are extremely curious about how the world works starting at a very young age. Their reading abilities and parents’ availability sometimes limit them.  They want to fuel that curiosity by empowering children to learn and revise at their own pace.  The invisible code is printed on each page. The optical reader at the end of the pen acts like a barcode scanner and calls the audio file assigned to the code.

As of March 12th, this project has raised $24,000 of their $30,000 goal. This project has 10 days left to raise the $30,000 or it will not be funded! For a pledge of $5, you will get a Ebook.  For a pledge of $69, you will get a hardcover book and the talking pen.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
