This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
In 2012, Tracy Reynolds went to Germany for the first time. It was the trip of a lifetime, hiking the Black Forest and hearing cowbells in the Alps. It was in Nuremberg that she saw a little carving of a German Shepherd puppy wearing a police uniform. Immediately she wondered who this character was. What was the world where he lived like? What was a typical day in his life? She pictured many scenarios in my head, and she knew she would have loved this story as a child.
Wanting to share these imaginings, she created a book. She is not a writer by trade. She is a character animator and she tells stories with pictures. She set about making over 24 original watercolor paintings illustrating a day in the life of this German Shepherd police dog, and the words followed. “Make what you want to see in the world”, as the saying goes. She has worked on many projects for other people but this one is wholly mine. She is excited to introduce Officer Voof to you!
As of March 8th, this project has raised $1,500 of their $4,200 goal. This project has 28 days left to raise the $4,200 or it will not be funded! For a pledge of $5, you will get a digital copy of the book. For a pledge of $20, you will get a hardcover copy of the book.
