This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
Experience the rarest chili peppers on the planet, covering all levels of the Scoville scale. For 2018, we will be offering a limited number of Harvest Box shares exclusively through Kickstarter’s Make 100, so reserve your share now. For the past 5 years, they have grown some of the rarest peppers in the world, selling them to some of the best chefs in the country from their farm stand in Union Square in New York City and Brooklyn. Every year, they search for super rare varieties and have seeds shipped from all over the globe to grow some of the rarest and most flavorful chili peppers on the planet. Discover the unique flavors from pepper you just can’t get at the grocery store, grown organically without pesticides or fertilizers, and shipped fresh from the farm.
Each box (Samplers and monthly harvest shares) include a detailed history and overview of each pepper, including the Scoville Scale, flavor profiles, pairing info, and more. Each shipment includes a personal letter from them with details about the growing season, along with storage instructions for freezing, dehydrating and pickling your peppers so you can enjoy them all year-long. You’ll also receive tips for saving seeds from your peppers, so you can grow your own at home. This year, they will just be offering only 100 CSA Harvest Box shares, and 100 Harvest Box Sampler boxes, and only offering them through Kickstarter. Once these are sold out, that’s it.
As of February 13th, this project has raised $14,000 of their $1,500 goal. This project has 32 days left to raise as much as it can! For a pledge of $60, you will get one chili pepper harvest sampler box. For a pledge of $170, you will get three chili pepper harvest boxes.
