This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
LightCam is the smart security camera combined with a smart light bulb that helps you stay connected to the things you care about, without running wires, drilling holes, mandatory monthly fees, or sacrificing your privacy. This is a solution for everyone as it adjusts to any light fixture – even apartment dwellers can now have a simple, affordable smart monitoring solution. You’ll get all the latest features, built on a secure platform that puts you in control. Works in any standard socket.
They have a working prototype and need funding to help them get LightCam to you as quickly as possible by completing the following :
- Ramp up production in China with at least the minimum order quantities
- Complete the LightCam app development
Members of the LightCam team have been successful in raising over $1.5 million on previous crowd funding technology campaigns. They intend to leverage that expertise to help them avoid the pitfalls common to many projects. As with any hardware project, LightCam may run into unexpected delays due to order volume, manufacturing issues, or other unforeseen issues. They will do everything in their power to plan effectively, make good decisions, and most importantly keep you in the loop.
As of February 6th, this project has raised $100,000 of their $22,250 goal. This project has 18 days left to raise as much as it can! For a pledge of $99, you will get one LightCam. For a pledge of $180, you will get two LightCams. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lightcam-smart-lightbulb-security-camera-home-light#/
