Crowdsourcing Mornings: Oliver Newton Watches

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

The watch, with its classic and timeless model, treated to the finest part, is characterized by meticulous details:

  • Engraving of Oliver Newton & Co. logo on the inner ring;
  • Classy decoration on the case back that resemble the skeletonisation;
  • Buckle treatment: satin on the front and shiny on the sides;
  • Serigraphy of the brand logo on the inside of the glass.

For its 200mt water resistance, CORIUM is also endowed with a silicone strap that allows the immersion of the watch while preserving intact the leather strap. With this model, Classic and available in both Black and White, or the PHANTOM, gifted with a pierced dial in the center that allows a sneak peak of the mechanism, and LIMITED, that represents a refined variant of coordinated strap and dial made of three overlapping layers of three different leather colors: a black base, an intermediate red layer finally closing with a white upper layer.

The watches are made with synthetic sapphires, known for their high hardness (on a 10 scale, it’s a grade 9, compared to the diamond that is a 10). This kind of glasses are particularly resistant, their strongness protects the surface from both scratches and cracks It is a perfectly shiny glass, free of scratches or internal marks, without stains and with regular edges: will give to the dial and to the whole watch the aspect of a new and cool product.

They launched this campaign to seek passionate supporters that loves horology as they do.  Their goal is to transform the concept of leather watches, to evolve and innovate it, and mostly to propose a new vision for the leather in horology.

As of January 11th, this project has raised €8,000 of their €80,000 goal. This project has 36 days left to raise the €80,000 or it will not be funded!
