This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
For centuries, young and old alike have been captivated by the nostalgia of spinning tops. The concept has gone unchanged, but the following has grown with the age of precision machined spinning tops. With increasing spin times these complex designs became collectible items. They wanted to take spinning tops to an entirely new dimension, creating a new experience for users while keeping the benefits, helping to boost creativity, and enhance focus. The Infinity Top is a captivating spinning top that defies gravity, almost eliminating friction for spin times unimaginable with conventional spinning tops.
Precision spin tops on the market today can range anywhere from 2-15 minutes depending on the top and user skills. After following their instructional video, beginners can expect 10-20 minutes. After some practice, more advanced users can expect spin times of 30-45 minutes. They set out to change the game of levitation. Falling in love with the aesthetic of levitation early on, they wanted to find a way to make the experience interactive. Most levitating products, although beautiful to look at, are set in a space and forgotten about over time. Their design is intended for day to day play, old and young alike will enjoy spending time spinning Infinity Top! They understand their dream could not come true without the support of their backers, so they wanted to give their supporters the best possible price.
As of January 5th, this project has raised $9,000 of their $5,000 goal. This project has 13 days left to raise as much as it can! For a pledge of $5, you will get updates and your name on their website. For a pledge of $125, you will get a aluminum Infinity Top.
