Crowdsourcing Mornings: See Sense ACE AI Bike Light

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

ACE is intelligent, it’s connected and it has a big vision for you and your city. ACE’s patent pending Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology monitors and reacts to every moment of your journey. It flashes brighter and faster to improve your visibility at times when you need it most, such as at road junctions, roundabouts, approaching car headlights and more.  ACE also seamlessly integrates with a brand new smartphone app, featuring a clean, new interface designed in conjunction with leading interaction design experts.  Combining brains with beauty, See.Sense ACE is small, simple to use and helps secure your space on the road.

ACE is their fourth generation lighting product and combines five years of R&D with the experiences and ideas shared by their cycling community. It’s an innovative, no compromise, no nonsense approach that has produced an exceptional lighting product.  ACE uses custom Chip on Board (CoB) LED technology to spread its high lumen output producing a panel of light. This gives two significant advantages over traditional LED lights.  Firstly, it appears larger and brighter, improving your visibility. With 125 lumens of output, ACE is easily visible, at all times, just like car lights. It’s designed to be visible from more than a mile away.  Secondly, with a widely dispersed spread of light, it provides excellent side visibility.  ACE doesn’t stop there. It reacts to ambient light, allowing it to increase output during daylight hours and reduce output at night to prevent dazzling other road users.

As of November 6th, this project has raised around $205,000 of their $39,219 goal. This project only has 4 days left to raise as much as it can!  For a pledge of $36, you will get one ACE rear light.  For a pledge of $63, you will get one ACE light set.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
