Even though some nutjob decided to vandalize a few reindeer, so far this season Friendship Santa has seen some record crowds!  As of last week, over 3,000 people have come to check out Santa and all the Christmas decorations in the yard of the Robertson’s house.  Avery Robertson is playing the role of Santa Claus in a decked out house including Santa’s Sleigh, giant wooden white reindeer, Christmas decorations, and a chance for the kids to sit in Santa’s lap!  Avery goes out each night and waves to the traffic passing by along McIntosh Road in Oxford. He even encourages the passing traffic to honk their car horns, he will wave back at you!

Santa will be out every night through Friday December 23rd from 5:30-8:30 pm.  The good thing about the vandalism is now more people know about the magic of Friendship Santa and the crowds are only going to get larger!  Can they see 4,000, or even 5,000 people this season, I hope so!  The Robertson family wants you to come out and enjoy all the Christmas decorations that are all handmade.  The vandalized reindeer have all been repaired and this season the newest Christmas decoration, a homemade Nativity scene, has been a major hit with the guests.

Everything is free, and bring your own camera!   To find The Robertson’s home along McIntosh Road, go south from exit 188 (US 431 north exit) at Interstate 20 along Leon Smith Parkway, about two miles down the road, the house will be on the right!  To learn more about Friendship Santa, go to: https://www.facebook.com/Friendshipsanta
