Crowdsourcing Mornings: Joker Greeting Cards / Five New Prank Cards

Geek Alabama Crowdsourcing Mornings

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Joker Greeting makes prank musical greeting cards that only stop when the battery dies or you break it!

  • Music plays 3+ hours (even when closed)
  • Gets louder when pressed again
  • Music Designed to stick in the brain

Now they have 5 new amazing cards! Yes, more mischief more often.  The “Thank You Card” plays the Golden Girls song “Thank You For Being A Friend.”  Sometimes a “thank you” just isn’t enough: that’s why you need a few thousand of them. The well known Golden Girls theme song is the perfect fit for all occasions of appreciation.  There is also the Baby Shower Card which plays the sound of a baby crying.  Welcome soon-to-be parents to the joys of parenthood with the soothing sounds of incessant crying.

There is also the I’m Sorry Card playing “I’m Sorry, So Sorry.”  When you feel like you can’t apologize enough, a steady 3-hour+ stream of apologies should fit the bill. Perfect for when you’ve accidentally thrown someone else’s laptop into a hot tub. Also appropriate for Raiders fans.  There is also the Congrats Card which plays an 80’s inspired and all original track!  Ideal for smug coworkers, the congrats card delivers a heartfelt neverending congratulatory song that drives home your true feelings. Great for bar mitzvahs, graduations, and any big event! This is original music by Joker Greeting with help of local L.A. favorite.

And there is the Thinking of You card which plays an incessant car alarm sound.  Some people send flowers. Other people send a greeting card that delivers the sound of an unstoppable car alarm. Proclaim your feelings loudly with their “Thinking of You” card.  They have made the cards noticeably louder.  And it is louder when you first press play.  And the sound goes even louder with one press of the button.  When the campaign is over they will send out a survey and you can select exactly which card(s) you want delivered.

As of November 5th, this project has raised around $13,000 of their $10,000 goal.
